LABORATORY TESTING AND PLANT TRIALS
- All of our services to customers are driven by the following goals: To provide the most cost-efficient products to customers using our technical expertise from the last 38 years and to solve other technical problems.
This requires the following:
- In-depth knowledge of how polymers are selected to meet specific customer needs
- Extensive laboratory work to identify one or two polymers as the best candidates
- A detailed jar test report identifying key goals, dosage, drainage, floc quality, recommendation for a plant trial, estimated cost savings, and advantages of the Hexagon program
- Plant trial with 5-gallon pails at no cost or obligation to the customer
- Plant trial summary with primary focus on performance and cost savings
- In the unlikely event that Hexagon does not have a product that works equal to or better than currently used product, then we can develop a new product for the customer.
REGULATORY INFORMATION
Hexagon keeps complete regulatory information on all of our products including:
Aquatic/ecological toxicity data – most commonly found aquatic species
Human safety/toxicity data – exposure, handling and storage safety
Food & Drug Administration (FDA) – details on FDA requirements for human and animal consumption
Religious requirements – Kosher certification, Halal certification
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR PLANT OPERATORS
Hexagon will help to train operators on several issues such as:
- Solving operational problems
- Safety-related issues
- Inventory management
- Equipment
- Process control
TECHNICAL SEMINARS
Hexagon offers training, seminars and workshops for general and specific needs of the customers. Some of these seminars can earn continuing education credit for operators. Formal and informal seminar topics include, but are not limited to:
- Laboratory testing of polymers
- Sludge dewatering technology/optimization of dewatering equipment
- Polymer selection and optimization
- Changing over equipment e.g. belt press to centrifuge, belt press to screw press
SHIPPING AND INVENTORY
- Hexagon has an enviable track record of shipping within 1 to 3 working days from the time the order is received.
- Exceptions to fast turnaround time would be weather conditions (winter) and availability of trucks.
- Hexagon has always shipped orders in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Hexagon will maintain substantial inventory of products based on the customer’s buying pattern.
